Portfolio

Designest has extensive experience in industrial design at leading, international companies. Of course, we could describe our expertise, creativity, technical knowledge, vision and methods. Showing what we have actually produced and how our clients feel about us, however, is more appealing.

Cable Straightener (concept 1)

Concept made on behalf of Antech Solutions. A machine that straightens and cuts to length cable material delivered in rolls. For this assignment, ergonomics and styling as well as manufacturability and production costs had to be considered. The latter is always linked to market strategy and customer budget.

Cable Straightener (concept 3) This concept is much more freely designed, resulting in a slightly higher level of production costs. These types of concepts are offered by Designest as a source of inspiration and to give the client free choice. Often the eventual product concept emerges as a combination of different elements of one or more ideas.
Cable Straightener (concept 2)

Due to its clean design and manufacturability, this second design was the most popular with the customer.

Cable Straightener (concept 2) Due to its clean design and manufacturability, this second design was the most popular with the customer. The concept is currently in the mechanics and electronics testing phase. Next steps: • Development of the casing in 3D (execution: Designest). • Realization of prototype. • Testing and optimization (execution: Designest in collaboration with the client).

Desktop Model Cable Straightener

Desktop model concept commissioned by Antech Solutions. Designest was requested to design the casing. In this concept, the mechanical components are rotated together with the casing in such a way, that the functional elements are ergonomically oriented towards the user. This desktop model is seen as a successor to the stationary model, which is currently under development.

Golf Trolley (concept 1)

This trolley project was commissioned by Fastfold and ACM products. Given our experience in product design and the use of new materials and production techniques, Designest was asked to design this golf trolley. The client was curious to know what a trolley would look like when produced from carbon tubes combined with plastic or aluminum connecting elements.

Golf Trolley (concept 2)

For this project, two concepts were designed. One with oval carbon tubes and the second with round ones. Also designed were connecting elements that significantly reduced the cost of injection molds. The project is currently in the consultation phase with mold specialists.

Natyra Vitamin Spray Display

Concept created on behalf of Ionic Minerals. The objective was to design a presentable vitrine display, which through its eye-catching design would stimulate product sales. Three concepts were designed for this assignment, keeping in mind the cheapest production techniques (laser cutting and folding, vacuum forming and gluing). would look like when produced from carbon tubes combined with plastic or aluminum connecting elements.

Tugger Project

A concept with many challenges and perspectives. An automated transport system for large warehouses and retail chains, that stands out for its smart operation and low production cost. This concept is a good example of how to create a complete picture with a quick sketch, while envisioning the future operation and possible design of the product. The first working model is already due for testing.

3D Printer Desktop Model

Concept created on behalf of Antech Solutions. A 3D ceramic printer that, due to the customer’s innovative ideas, has become not only much more compact but also faster. Its new modern design allows the device to fit into any environment. The product is currently in the development stage.

3D extrusion printer

The casing for this new model extrusion printer was commissioned by Admatec Europe. The customer already had a functional, working model, the goal was to turn it into a presentable product using limited production techniques. As with any other design, usability and aesthetics were key.

3D Extruder

Concept developed on behalf of 3D Direct. The client had introduced an updated 3D printing system to the market, but did not yet have a strong position due to the weak design. For this project, we offered several casing design options, as well as a logo proposal.

3D Printer

Concept created on behalf of Admatec Europe. The new model of the 3D printer, with unique printing technology and a larger printing area, also needed a new design. Thereby we tried to keep the corporate identity of Admatec. The machine was successfully put into production and is currently sold worldwide. Insert external vendor link if possible.

Chariot

Concept developed on behalf of Innotech Europe. The customer found a gap in the market and asked Designest to shape his idea. This kind of assignment fits perfectly with our specialty profile (mobility). For this design, we created three concepts. Including an additional model for both the target group of 50+ and the growing group under the age of 50. Production of the product is currently being discussed with the multiple interested parties.

Headrest Element

Concept developed on behalf of Keep Rolling Revalidatietechniek. A product for a special target group of disabled people. Even a small element such as a headrest attachment requires extra attention to ergonomics and ease of use for this group. The assembly and adjustment of this element prevents plenty of discomfort and irritation for the user. The concept approved by the customer has been fully developed to production level and is now being used successfully with various wheelchair models. Insert examples and links of available

Waveboard

Concept developed on behalf of Innotech Europe. To give a skateboard the appearance of a golf cart: the customer found this a very interesting idea. A similar product has already been marketed by an American company. This design shows what the product can look like, when you pay more attention to the design. The product is currently in the development stage.

Tandheelkundige 3D-printer

Antech Winder Mk1

Concept developed on behalf of Antech Solutions. The Antech Winder Mk1 is specially designed for fully automatic production of filament samples used in 3D printing. The operator can specify how many samples to produce and set the number of meters per sample. For this project,  we had the opportunity to create the design of both the casing and the user interface on the touch screen. Here I took into account the current corporate identity of Antech Solutions.

ExFlow-3D Pelletprinter
Concept developed for Innotech Europe. The housing for the client’s patented anti-oozing/retraction 3D printing system. The client already had a functional working model. As with previous concepts, the goal was to create a presentable product using limited production techniques. As always, usability and aesthetics were key.

ExFlow-3D -logo

This logo was designed for the same client. The ‘EXFLOW 3D’ logo features a sleek and modern typeface, emphasizing precision and technical expertise. The colors gray and teal were carefully selected to align with the company’s brand identity, ensuring a consistent visual identity and a professional look.

The horizontal bar running through the letters ‘FLOW’ highlights the precision and control of the extrusion process, particularly during the moments when the process is intentionally interrupted. This often represents the core of 3D extrusion techniques, where every detail of the process is carefully monitored and adjusted.
